I’m reading Don Miguel Ruiz ( The Voice of Knowledge) and you know, maybe, just maybe…the waiting is actually a gift unto yourself to recognize something new or good. I always think something good is always there if you look for it. I just don’t always have the patience. hugs, Jayne

I have the patience of Job. I just don’t happen to believe that unconditional love equates to unconditional relationships. People make their choices, and right now the choice I have is in how I respond. And something good *is* there. So I will wait.

I think I understand. Relationships…when you must hold stable by your choice of how you respond, you get to know yourself pretty well…at least that has been my experience…and sometimes, it turns out all the better. I hope that for you. xo, J

Inner strength is all that abides in those times. What kills me as I get through that is the rawness, the grit of having that strength. Yes, I’d rather be strong than shirk the greater responsibilities I have to myself but, can’t it be just a little softer to handle?! Why does it have to be so heart wrenching? I know the damn answer: it’s something I must learn and when I learn it, I will no longer suffer it. I hate when that happens : ) OK – enough, let’s talk make up.

Lesson Learned = Pain Lessened? Not necessarily, in my experience. But knowledge is power, so the learning ~ no matter how heart-wrenching ~ is empowering, in its own way.

            And I don’t wear makeup. 😉

: ) well then, forget make up. It would have been a short conversation anyway. One of my main coping mechanisms is to pay attention to the nitty gritty of my life but at the same time, indulge myself in frivolities of life. Somehow, it helps me to keep my balance through difficult times of contemplation….that’s why I changed the subject to something that shallow. Serious things can be so heavy. They need to be balanced out with some kind of mental levity. I hope you have some kind of beautiful thing going on while you are wait! xo, Jayne

On Facebook I saw a post of Grumpy Cat saying when life gives you lemons, freeze ’em and throw them at whoever is causing your stress. Enjoy the good times when you have them, and when you don’t, remember nothing lasts forever. I haven’t forgot you either.

For reasons that I cannot explain here, the Grumpy Cat reference amuses me greatly.

Nothing lasts forever. When applied to the waiting, those words are encouraging. As relates to the one you’re waiting for… Not so much.

When life give me lemons, I ask for a shot of tequila and a salt shaker. 😉
