I have been given an award.

dragons-loyalty-award

As I have a particular affinity for dragons, it is one I gladly accept.

Due to said affinity, I will even ~ for the first time EVAR ~ follow all the rules of acceptance.  Which are:

  1. Visit and thank the blogger who nominated you.  {Thank you, Chazz.}
  2. Acknowledge that blogger on your blog and link back to them in your post. {Done!}
  3. Share 7 things other bloggers may not know about you.  {Below}
  4. Nominate up to 15 bloggers for Dragon’s Loyalty Award, provide a link to their blogs in your post, and notify them on their blogs.  {Below and Forthwith}
  5. Copy and paste the award somewhere on your blog.  {Done!}

SEVEN THINGS
(YOU NEVER GUESSED YOU ALWAYS WANTED TO KNOW)
ABOUT MOI

  1. I am adopted.  It’s a long story, and not a traditional one, but adopted I am.
  2. I have a deep and abiding fear of voicing ‘those three little words’.
  3. Commercial television is disallowed in my home.  My house, my rules.
  4. I am fluent in two languages, and use them both daily.
  5. The only professional sport I have ever paid any attention to is baseball.
  6. I think The Man Who Knew Too Little is the most brilliant comedic script ever written.
  7. Only one person in the world knows the story of how my dragon tattoo came to be. That person is a blogger.

Dragon:  yang; symbol of power, strength, and good luck for people who are worthy of it; the most highly honored animal in the hierarchy; upwardly rising, though not as a phoenix; guarder of treasure, keeper of strength, ruler of all elements; benevolent and wise, but not without fierceness and pride.

Dragon Loyalty:  to demonstrate a willingness to fly, to learn, to ascend to new heights, to look ever upward, to be more; to guard what you treasure, to take pride in your values, and do so with fortitude and forbearance; to find strength in your scaly armor as well as the tender heart that armor guards.

DRAGON LOYALTY AWARDS

    There’s no one I know more deserving of this reward than you. But thank you for nominating me, darling. My post will be up in the next few days or so. I made 3 posts today alone and I’m starting to annoy myself haha.

    Xoxo

      I had to set strictures for myself about the frequency of posting, because I tend to write in manic spurts. Which could easily lead to my poor readers being bombarded with 47 posts over the course of three hours and then… Nothing, for a month or two. My bursts of creativity are typically ill-timed, and I end up writing five posts between midnight and 2:37am on any given Tuesday. Most of them never see the light of day. And lately, when they do see the light of day, it is because they are pre-scheduled.

      And then there are the ones that sit in my queue… And sit… And get deleted… And get rewritten… And sit…

      I have issues with posting, sigh.

      I do not, however, have issues with your posting schedule. Today is my day off, and I always enjoy reading your multiple… posts. 😉

      You’re welcome.

      The interpretation of terms is strictly my own; it was intended to expound upon why I think this schmancy award is so cool. I am flattered that you believe the description fits my blog. Likewise. 🙂

      Don’t forget to rub your knuckles against your shirt front after you blow. 😉

    Wow! I really got here with my IPad. It is like my brain, I only use a tiny part of it! 🙂
    Congratulations and thank you! And I thought I was choked up before….

    I am incredibly slow when it comes to awards and my computer skills are not so great but this Dragon is going to happen. 🙂 I am glowing in the soft light of praise. Gloating, really.

    Merci!!!

    Bises,
    Dawn

    PS: I hate television too.

      You’re welcome.

      I am notorious for not accepting awards. Typically I say “thank you” and that’s the end of it. So please do not feel obligated. It’s yours, to do (or not do) with as you please. 🙂

      If there were 8 things on my TMI list here, the 8th would be that I am super squidgy about touch-pads, and am so phobic of the fingerprint-y screens that I wouldn’t even be able to turn one on if it was handed to me. So congratulations on maneuvering your way here using one. As far as I’m concerned, you gots skillz. 😉

          It is quite unlike me to use acronyms, because I am one of those people who sees things like WIITWD and says, “Is that what we’re calling the current world war?” So I apologize for throwing one at you. I find acronyms obnoxious. (That would be #9 on my list.)

          TMI = Too Much Information. 🙂

          So, TMI… Well, that is basically the whole point of blogging, isn’t it? 😉

    Congratulations, Mrs. Fever. If anybody deserves the Dragon Loyalty Award, it’s YOU! Hey, I would love to hear the story of how your dragon tattoo came to be… (hint, hint, hint) 🙂

    We’ve talked about TV before. I was really into it up to the onset of my teen years. Then I switched to being a news/politics/documentary junkie. The Army about drove me nuts when I had to give up the news during training. It would’ve been a short ride anyway. Government work involves massive numbers of acronyms. AB has helped me with a few. DILLIGAF -Do I Look Like I Give A Fuck. WGAS – Who Gives A Shit. Some acronyms and “Cultures” seem like a language all their own. I had a friend that wrote movie reviews for an S/M B/D magazine. Fascinating stuff. Not really my cup of tea, but interesting to learn about Tea-rooms, English, Roman, but the French and Greek most people know. Western stores that have riding gear can be a somewhat more discrete place to get bondage accoutrements, at least up until you try them on for size. My brain is kind of like my house, filled with miscellaneous trivia.
