I need to check that out. I had a lovely glass one (unfortunately, mine broke. Tile floors) that was pretty awesome. I’ve never been a fan of rubber or silicon ones because it seems like they dry me out. So I’ve used the hard plastic ones, but I agree, glass is much easier to clean. That one looks so pretty, though. I definitely need one.

Gah! Note to self: Keep away from tile.

Yes, the easy-clean factor is a big plus. The other thing I like about Pipedream products is their affordability. My favorite one (as pictured) retails for around $80 (mine was less because I shop at our local boutique when they offer specialty product discounts and coupons), but my friend bought one on Amazon after I introduced her to mine, and I think she only paid like $40. Most of their products fall in the $40-$100 range, retail.

I’ve also found that glass is compatible with just about any lube, which – considering my tricky body chemistry – is a huge plus.

Oh awesome… I think mine was around $60 or so… It’s been awhile, so I don’t remember. But yes, that’s very affordable! Definitely at the top of my Want list now!

Have you tried it after putting it in the freezer? I have a glass toy and it’s definitely a new sensation. (INXS’ song A New Sensation came to mind.)

No, I don’t do well with the shocking cold. I’ve had it after being immersed in cold water, but the sensation can temporarily border on pain (of the unenjoyable ouch-ouch-frostbite! variety), and those tissues are very tender.

But everyone has different limitations, and glass toys are made to handle extremes. My only advice – for a newbie – would be to take it a little at a time. Cold water, then fridge, then varying amounts of time in the freezer. So as not to shock the system. 🙂

      How do you like it?

“little at a time” …I went straight for the freezer. Interesting, yes, freezing, yes but the shock is part of the “fun”. Continual motion and removal to let the temperature even out does help but it’s the playing itself that makes it fun. Just a game

What an interesting and entertaining article, filled with a wealth of detail.
This has also been very timely as a very dear friends birtday is looming.
