I’m assuming you clicked the link…

The composer, Arvo Pärt, wrote Da Pacem Domine as a tribute to the victims of the 2004 terrorist bombings in Madrid. It is still performed every year in Spain commemoratively. The ancient sound is somehow all the more haunting for the modernity of the problem. Given recent events – globally and at home – the chorale performed this piece with string accompaniment to open, and it was… Heartwrenchingly beautiful.

It was very haunting and yet I find myself being crass. The girl 7th from the left is wearing a dress that you can see right through. Mind you, all you can really see is that she has legs and it looks like she’s wearing heels as opposed to flats, but it reminds me of an episode of “Good Neighbors” where Barbara {Felicity Kendall} gives a talk to a rapt group of prison inmates. Later she finds out that the reason the were so attentive is because the sun was shining through her dress.
