Top-Sex-Blogger-2015

A while back I mentioned that Molly, of Molly’s Daily Kiss, had taken on the challenge of creating a Top-100 list of sex blogs for 2015.  The list is now complete, and can be found here.

The time and effort required to collect nominations and collate a ranked menu of this magnitude is phenomenal.  Huge thanks to Molly, for so competently completing such an undertaking, and to all of the authors who made the list this year, for providing such amazing content.

If you are a reader who appreciates writers who address issues of sex and sexuality, who contemplate sexual identity and relationship constructs, who examine themselves and the world around through the eyes of a sexual being, or who stroke your libido with their erotic words:  This list is for you.  Please take the time to peruse this prospectus at your pleasure, and if you have a moment to share a word or two of appreciation – for Molly, or for those in her catalog – I hope you will do so.

There are some fantastic bloggers on the list; many I’m familiar with, many I am not {yet}.  But I’d like to give a special shout out to three bloggers I personally nominated, who {are likely unaware they} made the list:

Drew @ The Drew Duality

Holly @ Seattle Poly Chick

-and-

Ret @ Reticent Mental Property

.

If there is a blogger you feel was overlooked, or if you have blog recommendations of your own, and want to create a “Top However-Many” list in a post of your own, I encourage you to do so.  If you have questions, feel free to ask.  And comments, as always, are welcome.

HAPPY READING!

I appreciated the nod last time, it’s just that I had a hard time seeing myself as a “sex blogger”; it’s a label I am growing more comfortable with now, but I’m not yet at the point where I truly embrace it. “Kind of” is not a de-valuation. Instead it is a step up from how I felt in the past.

Also, this list is – in my opinion – slightly more inclusive than the ones I have seen in the past, which is a nice change. There are many ways to write about sex, and multiple cultural and orientation questions to consider. Plus sexual health, sexual education, rights, legalities, etc. There’s no way to represent *everyone* but being inclusive is a Good Thing. So being on a list that feels like a larger representative slice of the whole sexual pie… Yes, that feels kind of good. 🙂

Thank you for posting about the list and I really do appreciate your comments here. I worked very hard to put together a list that reflected the breadth and depth of the sex blogging community and I delighted to read here that maybe I achieved that.

You are not the only one I know of who are struggled with the label ‘sex blogger’ but I think when you look at it as a wide genre encompassing all sorts of styles and content relating to sex, bodies, relationships etc then it can be easier to fit yourself within it. I hope that makes sense

            It makes perfect sense. 🙂

And your list is definitely the most inclusive one I’ve seen thus far. I can’t imagine the amount of time and work it must have required. Thank you so much for taking it on, and for providing such wonderful content on your own blog as well.

I have found several new voices (new to me), and am enjoying them immensely.
