This was one of the photos I took while trying to capture light blurs for the ‘bokeh’ prompt in December.

I was originally saving this shot for February Photo Fest, but I decided to use it as a how-to example for a photo editing tutorial instead.

So for those of you who are curious (or who are thinking of participating in FebPhotoFest but are feeling daunted):

For the purpose of simplicity, I am going to focus on a single (free!) online photo editing system: Lunapic.

Morning Fog

The grass is asleep
under its sheet of frost,
covered in
a blanket of fog wisping threadbare
under the sun’s
stolid gaze.

Like me, the earth prefers her beauty sleep.

Even the traffic today is slow to wake.

Crawling along a country road,
tires gripping gravel slick,
we reluctantly inch
forward
into day.
