Interesting, reminds me of some of the Hippies from the late sixties and early seventies. I have some friends {one in particular} that I know would like this. Most of the lyrics could easily have been from that era too. One line reminds me of a Bloom County Comic. In the comic, two characters are talking while watching TV, one says “According to Karl Marx religion is the opiate of the masses.” the characters exit and the TV has a thought balloon, “He hadn’t seen anything yet.” True enough, but as vacuous as TV is, the internet can go way beyond that. Just look at where we used to be.
I like this song because it fits my personal outlook in so many ways. I suppose it is a bit hippie-ish though. Fitting, I suppose, that the person who introduced me to this song is a long-haired hippie Jesus type. (His words, not mine.) 😉
Love it.
The only words I could find, my dear friend. I hope they brought a smile to your face. 🙂
Funny … The OCD part of me got hung up on the rhyme scheme the first time through.
But I listened. And listened again.
And I will again.
Thank you!
Powerful words.
