Sing With Me, Sing For The Year

~ Sing For The Laughter, Sing For The Tears ~

It’s been a year. A __________ [choose your own adventure adjective] year.

Perhaps 2023 was magical? Surreal?

Confusing? Harsh?

Beautiful, terrible, exciting, blase?

And now, 2024.

Whatever happened in your year that ended on December 31, and no matter what happens in the year to come: I wish you well.

And my glad tidings in 2024 (or sexy salutations, or humorous hellos, or whateva-whatsups) on the blog will — probably, but not always, and only provided I can find the time/inspiration/energy to sit down and write them — be ‘sung’.

(Think: The September Song Project, now in version 365)

I cannot promise to sing my stories well. I may not stay on key. (You may have noticed my recent tendency for my voice to wander. Including to wander away from blogging entirely for longer and longer periods of time.)

But I’ll find my rhythm. (Or not; some drums have occasionally been known to beat out of time.) And the ‘tunes’ are bound to be original.

Feel free to join in on the chorus. 😉

Happy New Year! I was thinking about you recently and was hoping you were OK.

I look forward to your “songs” even as I am terrible with lyrics as we’ve discussed before. (Even this post had me going, “Huh? That’s not the song. Isn’t ‘sing, women, sing for the year’? I always thought it was. LOL Learned something new in the new year. )

As for myself, I have a terrible singing voice, but you could say after a several months long dry spell, Rosa had me ‘singing’ last night! She gave me a marathon 500+ whack spanking that had me howling!!!! LOL (And I’m due for another 500 sometime soon which will now be hell to take on the swollen and sore bottom I’m currently sporting.) Well, the life of a sub, huh? 😉

And I’ve always liked looking at the revived past posts featured in your blog’s margin. Many offer visual treats that prove that even if you can’t find your ‘voice’ for a post, you can probably still inspire with your camera! 😉

    Have a great new year!

      Happy New Year!

500?!?! Yes, I can imagine a bit of warbling might have come from that. Lol.

(“Sing women” is an understandable interpretation. Mondegreens are fun/ny.)

Just an update: Rosa delivered the second 500 yesterday……..and they were worse than the first round since she felt that initial session reacclimated me with the procedure…..which to be honest, it did. It was definitely easier to take than that first round after months of not spanking, but that only encouraged her to smack harder. (Personally, I find how our bodies adapt to trauma fascinating. After a long period of inaction, I will be a total pain wimp howling at the merest flicky swats, but after enduring one good spanking under these conditions, and recovering from it, if the next is done soon after, I will handle full measured and hard swats with just the expected reactions of an ouch and a kick, but still be able to take the full spanking without too much other fuss.) And yeah, 500 sounds like a lot, but she does bursts with little in-place breaks for me to catch my breath and not have a coronary (LOL) and then she has us take a regular break after 250 to walk about, stretch, rest her arm, maybe get her a tea or coffee, or whatever, and then it’s back in position for the second 250. I do realize from your posts that what we do is probably more severe than your approach, but it fits our style and while 500 definitely leaves me pretty darned sore and tender, it’s nothing I can’t handle or find excessive or unreasonable. (And besides, the reason behind this particular 1000 smack marathon was my idea and centered around something fun involving another person. So it wasn’t even a direct punishment from Rosa.)
