AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION REQUESTED
Hello, dear readers.
Some of you may remember the Blog Share (BS) project I hosted here on Temperature’s Rising last spring, but for those of you who are new (or who need a review), the general concept of BS is as follows:
I invite people to write guest posts for my blog.
You applaud and do cartwheels and hit ‘Like’ and leave comments and stuff.
And at the end of the day (or rather – at the end of the week, to be more precise), you will have met some new authors, and those authors will have met you, and it’ll be like a big meety (but not meaty ~ I am a vegetarian, remember) bloggy fest. And a bloggy fest, as you can imagine, is quite… Well… Festive.
‘Tis the season, and all that.
So here’s the deal: I gave the participants a prompt (which, being a Feverish prompt, is actually a ‘Frompt’) that was open to interpretation and sort of… Nebulously holiday-ish.
Instructions to guest authors were as follows:
There are no rules.
Write what you think, what you feel, what you wish for, what you’ve experienced; fact or fiction, poetry or prose, memoir or narrative; describe it, define it, show it, tell it….. Write what you want, how you want.
How you approach the topic is up to you. If the prompt (which is actually a Feverish prompt, and shall henceforth be known as a Frompt) awakens a desire or stirs a memory, write it. If the word itself reminds you of something else or leads you to a different topic, choose your path and write your journey. If you prefer to write in a way that evokes an emotional response from the audience that is indicative of the Frompt, more power to ya.
There. Are. No. Rules.
There are also no…..uhhh……topic limitations.
:: wiggling eyebrows ::
See? How fun is that?!?
Yeah, yeah, you are thinking, but what was the Frompt, Feve?
The Frompt, dear readers, was…
JOY
So I hope you’ll join me (joyn me?) this week in celebrating some awesome authors. Your active and enthusiastic participation is requested/encouraged/desired/insert-verb-here-ed.
EnJOY! 😀
