I am drawn to the window, contemplative but content, and my physical reflection – barely visible in the glass at this hour – is an elusive apparition, not unlike the reflections inside my mind; nebulous thoughts shine in glimmering reverse shadows. Light against dark. The cloud-heavy sky is streaked with blue shimmering light this evening, a sparse and glowing contrast to the gray.
Silver linings.
They are always there, I think to myself, you only have to know where, and how, to look.
It is so easy to get tangled in the negatives. To get caught up in the have-nots and the cannots, the things that have gone wrong, the losses and the hurts. To see the clouds, dark and portentious, instead of the light that shines through them.
But a light always shines through.
Always.
Silver linings. They are always there. You just have to be willing to see them.
May your eyes be open, this Christmas day and every day, that you may see your own silver linings.
Merry Christmas, and best wishes to all of you for 2015.
Merry Christmas Feve and so very true… “Willing to see them”

My day was lazy and relaxing, and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. 🙂 I hope yours was everything you wanted it to be.
Merry Christmas!
When my daughter goes with her dad for a few hours, I have an anual tradition of hotel bar hopping in my christmas jammies. 🙂
