now there is a promise one could hardly say no to
It’s all in the delivery. π
yes, it is:)
I’m not sure why I love his gravely voice…maybe it’s the excellent instrumentals…makes the hips undulate…and feels kinda silly, joyful for such a baritone sound…
There’s something about the lack in his voice – the lack of smoothness, lack of polish – that makes it somehow more real, more honest. And *that* is sexy.
I love listening to him recite his own poetry (which he changes, often):

i’ll make time today to listen…thank you.
It’s a short one. π
(not exactly short & sweet… too sexy to be sweet π )
I searched quite a while to find Hallelujah and the man who sung it only to rediscover while watching Shrek.
I do like Leonard Cohen. Neil Diamond covered Susanne back in the 70s.
I’ve got “I’m your man” on a CD somewhere (with Hallelujah and Susanne).
LOVE Shrek! π
I am a huge fan of Hallelujah, and have a few favorite versions/covers of it, a couple of which I’ve posted: https://mrsfever.com/tag/hallelujah/
I’m also quite fond of Dance Me To The End Of Love. π
PS – I love your disclaimer. We should all have the sense of humor of a 12 year old π
Heh. π
I love Leonard Cohen’s music. I also liked the movie about him – I’m Your Man. Complex, melancholy, and wistful.
Ooooh…! I will look for that, thank you! π
Ask, and it shall be
as you wish :-*
“Inconceivable” is not in my vocabulary. π
Wanna hang out in the fire swamp with me? π
*insert wiggling eyebrows, here: _____*
oh hell yes!!
Cool post !!!!!!!!!!!
I take it you feel differently about Cohen than you do about Dylan?
Well, since you asked, I’d be a liar if I said I was a fan of either artist … but I totally got where you were going with the post and enjoyed it. π
It is quite a declaration. And it takes someone pretty amazing to see it through.
Nothing melts me quite like a lover who is willing to give himself over to my desires, to share in them, to sate them, and to drive – and derive – them anew. “Pleasure” doesn’t begin to cover it. π
π Actually, I like your explanation of it much, much more. π
Well. It’s a beautiful ideal, if not a sustainable reality.
I think that’s one of the reasons I like this song. He says “I’m your man” but admits to being – occasionally, or perhaps in the past, in all the moments leading up to this moment – not so great at it.
hahahaha– well, nothing real ever is optimal. π
If I was in charge of the world, it would be. π
!!!!!!!! Well, then- I’m voting for you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
