nude reflection in candlelit window with bokeh

. . . of light and form . . .

Sinful Sunday

NOTE:  The photography prompt for the first Sinful Sunday in December was ‘bokeh’.  Bokeh – a Japanese word meaning ‘blur’ – is the blurred/out-of-focus rendering of light in an image, often appearing as multiple circular illuminations.

The bokeh in this photo (most prominent at the bottom left) is the result of flickering candlelight, a little bit of luck, and an appropriately angled lens.

No filters, no effects.

Other than slightly upping the color saturation to make my window reflection more visible, this image is unedited.  It is presented here exactly as it came out of my camera.  🙂

      Thanks! 🙂

British bloggers often use the term ‘chuffed’. Up til now, I’ve always equated that with the “cough-pfffgh!” sound a horse makes when it expels a huffy breath. But that’s pretty much the sound I made when I saw what came out of my camera. So…

I’m chuffed at how it turned out. 😉

This is so good. I am in awe of the achievements of those whose use of filters in non-existent and editing is minimal, or not needed. I love the use of candlelight too and of course the reflection we get to see is a delight 🙂 x

I like filters and photo layering; they are fun to use and can create (or amplify) some stunning effects!

There are a couple “mistakes” I’ve made with light (lens flares, anyone? or overexposure…) often enough when I’m not meaning to, that when Molly said “bokeh,” I just thought, “Oh! I know how to make that mistake!” 😉
