SIMPLE SPICY STIR FRY
Step One: Find some vegetables. Whatever you have in your fridge will do.
Step Two: Find some kind of hot spices. Whatever you have on hand in your cupboards will do.
Step Three: Pour a small amount of oil (I use sesame oil for stir fries, but you can use whatever you please) into a pan, then add your spices directly to the oil and allow to simmer. (Seriously, just a little bit of oil is all you need.)
Step Four: If using onion or garlic as an ingredient, add into spiced oil and simmer.
Step Five: Chop veggies, then dump them into the pan. Sauté veggies. Add another Tbsp of oil if pan gets too dry, otherwise just let them be. You’re going for ‘crisp’, not soggy.
Step Six: Somewhere between Step One and Step Four you should throw some rice into a cooker, so it’s simmering while all this pan-fry business is going on.
Step Seven: Grab a cold drink from the refrigerator. Take a swig.
Step Eight: When rice is done, dump it onto a plate and pour the stir-fried veggies over the top.
Step Nine: Eat.
NOTES
The photo at the top is what I ate for dinner last night. I have been a vegetarian for nearly 10 years, but in late 2018 I changed my diet to once again include seafood (mainly fish, but sometimes shrimp) due to some health concerns. Thus, the shrimps you see in the pic. If you are a Veggie, make your stir-fry without the shrimps. If you are a carnivore, choose whatever meat you want and add it to the pan.
For my stir fry, I used: 1/4 tsp chili flakes, 1/4 tsp cumin, mushrooms, broccoli, red and green bell peppers, and 1 Tbsp of minced onion.
It took twelve minutes from start to finish to prep and cook, and about another eight minutes to eat.
Fast. Simple. Healthy. Easy.
YUM.

I love food that is quick and simple to make and that looks yummy. Love prawns, but rarely eat them as G is allergic.
