And Now: The News…

Chief Economist of the Beer Institute (How the hell do you get a job like that?), Lester Jones (no relation to Dow Jones), shared his astounding findings with the world (via a marvelous piece of journalism blogging by others):  Americans Drink Beer.  This shocking revelation was supported by the CDC (that’s Center for Disease Control, people ~ your tax dollars at work!), whose 2011 survey concluded that New Hampshire residents swill more beer per capita than any other state.  Additionally, a top ten list was created to show national purchase and consumption of liquified hops and barley.

For those of you who may be scratching your heads (or, perhaps, feeling a twinge of concern) over the fact that the U.S. government spends time and money researching the drinking habits (What are they doing?!?) of belching American citizens, take heart.  In the words of Albert Einstein:

If we knew what it was we were doing, it would not be called research, would it?

Please stay tuned.  We’ll be back, right after a word from our sponsor:  Frothy Head Beer (otherwise known as Ursus).

Hmmm…  I freely admit that I like (heh) wood.  Just never really thought about it in quite those terms.  😉
