So if you are a frequent visitor to my homepage, you may have noticed that I changed things up a bit around here this week. HOWEVER, even though I like everything else about this new WP theme (it’s Quintus I changed it back to Twenty Eleven in case you’re wondering), there is one thing about this makeover that is driving me batshit.

No, I didn’t poke myself in the eye. Not today anyway.

On my old setup, links were obvious, because linked text automatically turned blue. But… Not so here. Links are not underlined or other-colored or…? So how do I do that?
See? This is a link. And you can’t tell. (You can now, because I changed my theme back to what it was before.)
Anyone…? Anyone…?
Bueller…?
It’s part of the theme, not something you can configure. Unless you go to a paid WP.com account, bunny. 🙁
DANGIT.
Technically, you can tell, because the onmouseover does change to underlined formatting for the hyperlink. In a non-mobile browser, that is. Mobile… prolly not.
Short version: it’s a bit of a crappy theme.
Well when I did the preview (I did about 47 previews), the link text was highlighted. So that just sucks. Now I have to change it back. Rmnfrcknrg!
I will confirm there — themes on WP.com are locked down tight. *NORMALLY* all you’d have to do is tweak a line in your theme stylesheet, but that’s not possible without premiumsssss. 🙁
Harrumph.
