NOMINATIONS ARE OPEN!
Every year, Molly Moore (of Molly’s Daily Kiss) undertakes the gargantuan task of creating a “Top 100” list of sex bloggers. Nominations for the 2018 list are now open. <— Click that link if you already know what to do. If you’re new here, or if you’re scratching your head going “Whaaa…?”, please read on. 🙂
What is the Top 100 list?
The Top 100 was originally created by Rori of Between My Sheets (blog no longer active) as a way of recognizing people who were creating quality sex-related content and helping them find one another; Molly took over the task of creating the annual list in 2015 when Rori retired. The list is ranked, based on a transparent scoring system, and all the blogs that are considered come from reader nominations. It does not matter if a blog is nominated by one reader or 900; once a blog is nominated, it’s considered.
Who is eligible for the list?
Anyone who blogs about sex and/or sexuality is eligible for nomination. This includes all forms of writing (confessional, educational, therapeutic; fiction and non-fiction; erotic poetry and photography… etc.) about sex and sexuality, sexual identity and sexual politics, kink and fetish opinions and experiences, and __________. (Fill in the blank yourselves.)
You do not have to be an expert, and you do not have to create erotic content to qualify. Neither are you required to post nude photos or provide intimate confessionals. If you create original content that’s related to sex and/or sexuality, that’s the primary requirement.
If you are a reader and you feel that a blogger you follow meets that requirement: Go. Nominate someone.
- You can nominate as many active blogs as you like. Nominated blogs must be at least one year running and have posted a minimum of 24 times between November 2017 and today, with the most recently published post falling within the past 45 days.
- You must provide the full url of the blog you are nominating. For example, http://mysexyblogrules.com/.
- You cannot nominate yourself.
- Previous #1 blogs have been retired. For that reason, please do not nominate any of the following (but do go check them out): Sinclair Sex Smith, Guy New York, Molly Moore, Girl on the Net, Hyacinth Jones, Madame Ferns (Domme Chronicles), and Kayla Lords.
- Nominations close November 1, 2018.
What does the completed list look like?
The list changes every year, because – just like all dynamic communities – the sex blogging community grows, changes, and diversifies over time. The fact that only active blogs are eligible makes a huge difference in compilation, as does the natural ebb and flow of bloggers entering and leaving the community.
