TOP 100 SEX BLOGS

The indefatigable Molly Moore has compiled her annual list – based on reader nominations* – of top sex blogs for 2018.  If you are looking for consistent sex-positive contributions and/or for varied voices that reflect multiple sexual perspectives, especially in this age of increased internet censorship, I encourage you to click the badge below and give this list a look.

*Reading the comments on her annual nominations post (now closed, obviously) netted me multiple new blogs to read (many of which are new and/or have been otherwise marginalized voices), and I have added a few more to my blogroll since.

And now, a few words from Feve…
(No, this is not an acceptance speech.  😛 )

Unlisted

With as amazing (and challenging!) a job Molly does in compiling the Top 100 annually, it’s just not possible to include everyone.  With that in mind, there are a three bloggers who are not on this year’s list that I want to take a moment to highlight.  (Blog titles linked.)

Cammies On The Floor:  M, who started this blog with her now-departed sister, A, passed away this past summer.  She wrote honestly and forthrightly about difficult things:  the dissolution of her marriage; the complexities of balancing (or out-of-balance) needs in non-monogamous relationships; her joy and grief and curiosity and pain; her ever-deepening struggle with mental health.  M’s voice was one I came to look forward to hearing, and her frank, introspective manner of writing her opinions and experiences was refreshingly REAL.  Because she planned her publishing schedule months in advance, there are still new posts appearing on her blog.  For me, this is a welcome reminder that what we do here matters, and I appreciate that her spirit lives on even after she has gone.

A Kinky Autistic:  Too new to qualify for this year’s Top 100 list, but – in my opinion – very likely to find a place on 2019’s list, A Kinky Autistic is a blog that does exactly what it states on the label.  The author, who is autistic, explores kink, sex, and relationships through reflection and fiction writing, and I personally think their voice is one people need to hear.

Domme Chronicles:  Ferns, who won the #1 place on the 2016 Top Sex Blogs list (and has thenceforth been ineligible for nomination; once you’ve gotten the top spot, your blog is ‘retired’ from the list).  Her blog is equal parts touching, insightful, humorous, cringe-inducing, and smile-worthy.  She is deprecatingly self-aware but knows damn well her own worth.  And she writes with a no-nonsense edge and a definitive attitude on all things F/m.  She has held a permanent spot on my blogroll since I first found her, and I hope she continues writing for many years to come.

TL;DR ~ Seven Up

If the idea of clicking through and sifting through a list of 100 feels overwhelming, let me round out the above ‘unlisted’ three with another seven (making a Feve’s Top 10 of sorts) bloggers I think you should know.  In reverse order of how they appear on Molly’s Top 100 list, and with individual posts highlighted for your perusal:

(Blog titles and posts are linked.)

And last, but not least…

Rebel’s Notes (#1):  Marie Rebelle is the host of Wicked Wednesday and founder of the Smut Marathon. She is a burgeoning student of self-portraiture, a steadily improving fictioneer, and writes honestly about her relationships, particularly as relates to grief and change.  Check out her posts All Wrapped Up (photography), The Mist (fiction) and  Fucking Mind (for why I think she absolutely deserves to be #1 this year).

All the people listed here work hard at what they do.
And none of us could do it without YOU.

Thank you for supporting the sex-positive blogging community in 2018.
