Contemplative

Each month, the Sinful Sunday photography meme host (Molly Moore) provides a prompt for the first Sunday of the month.

This month, the prompt was ‘one word’. The idea being that we (the participants) were to illustrate the meaning of a single word – to define it, in a visual way – through a photograph.

For the purposes of the prompt, I chose the word ‘perspective‘. Given the double meaning (i.e. point of view in terms of {1} the state of one’s ideas versus {2} the artistic depiction of spatial relationships), I felt it was ideal. But when I had to choose a word — given the photographic material I had to work with — the word ‘contemplative’, as illustrated by the photo above, came in a close second.

Do you think you could provide a visual definition of one word via a photograph?

What word would you choose?

Well… I see a mix of emotions in your lips — and reading them accurately would be like riding a Philadelphia Tobaggan Company wooden roller coaster from the early 1900’s — plenty of rises and falls– fun and surprises.
        Thus, fluctuation.
Of course, if I was half as smart as I thought I was, I wouldn’t waste space in my brain for things like names of defunct Roller Coaster manufacturers, but Lake Winnepesaukah has a nice one, if you’re ever near Chattanooga.

          Heh. Tobaggen indeed.

The best wooden roller coaster I’ve ever been on is The Beast, at Kings Island in Ohio. That’d be a wild lip-ride. 😛

And one must be careful of splinters… 😉
