I love Ella but truly, I really really love Billie Holiday.. amazing woman, came up from abject poverty – traffiked as a child (and raped at 12)- terrible home life, dropped out of school at 11 – and that amazing voice….
Yes… A tragic life and a tragic death…
But a beautiful voice.
