Bees are industrious creatures. They buzz and zizzer and pollenate and honeycomb almost constantly.
Like humans — who are generally not nearly so usefully industrious — they sleep between five and eight hours a day.
One of the ways bees catch their winks is in pairs.
They nap together.
Inside the petals of flowers.
With their feet twined.
And you know…
On this sleepy Saturday need-a-nap afternoon, after an exhausting week full of busy-bee-ing…
I can’t really think of a more delightful way to be{e}.
Sounds glorious…..
It was lovely. 🙂
Awww that’s cute, kind of like the napping otters holding hands/paws.
Honeybees aren’t scary to me, unless theyre in attack mode or in a swarm. Wasps & yellowjackets – NOPE. But I’m fond of bumblebees, I always think of that dopey old song from a cartoon – ‘ I’m bringing home a baby bumblebee, won’t my mama be so proud of me..’ ahaha
I think “nice bees” are lovely. We wouldn’t have food or flowers without our pollinators!
But the mean bees — wasps, hornets — no, thanks!
LOL
Reminds me of “Buzz Buzz” from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles when Michelangelo was Turflytle to lure some big bat enemy. He just ended every sentence with “Buzz Buzz.”
So is this a random post or is this your “B” post for the alphabet meme thing this year, Buzz Buzz? 🙂
Hugs,
Windy
The A-to-Z starts April 1. So no, not a “B” post. Just a bee post. 🙂
I didn’t know that about bees – it sounds so cute! I am about to fill my garden with wild flowers and hope to attract a lot of bees. I’m always envious when I see them in other gardens 😉

I have had quite a lot of bees when I’ve planted delphiniums. Butterflies tend to flock to my poppies.
Nice post to inspire a carefree holiday.
Nice way to be.
