THE SEPTEMBER SONG PROJECT: MUSIC AS MUSE
the rhythm is just write…
This project started last year as a way for me to get my blogging groove back. I tend to spend less time in this space in the summers anyway, but last year with my husband’s kidney transplant and all the subsequent (positive) (but still difficult!) changes we were navigating, I was just not feeling inspired by *anything* come the end of August.
Not inspired by anything, that is, except music.
Music is – as the very word ‘music’ so aptly suggests – a fantastic muse.
And this year, what with the Coronapocalypse and compounding State of the World factors right now, I need a good muse again to help me get on with my musings. 🙂
So the month of September is going to be all about muses and music and musings while I get myself back in the rhythm of writing.

ENCORE! — September Song Project II
What It Is: a musically-inspired writing/posting project
How It Works: use music in some form/fashion (styles, genres, lyrics, instruments, periods, dynamics, band names, song titles, etc.) as inspiration for creating new content on your blog
When It Takes Place: September 1-30, 2020
Posting Schedule: post as little or as often as you wish within the month of September — do whatever works for you!
Allowable Topics: whatever you want to write about
Who Can Play: anyone over 18
How To Join: {1} create a musically-inspired post, {2} note within the post that you are playing along with a link back to this page (use of the badge is optional), and {3} let me know you are playing in the comments below so I can come find you

I’m going to try… altho’ I do not hold out a lot of hope for good writing time over the next 4-6 weeks.
However, in the spirit of optimistic thinking, I’m putting it on my calendar!

Okay – I’m down for it. Music is my life so I won’t have too much of a problem writing muse-like things that involve music… and I am a musician, too.
