It’s more difficult than you’d think!
For some reason, I am able to take quick clicks of my pajamas and I do just fine capturing the ‘festive essence’ of when the point is to show off my Christmas sweaters, but seriously! When I am intentionally trying to take a photo that {1} includes clothing (I know, I know… from the photos on my blog, I’m sure it sometimes seems as though I rarely wear any but I DO), and {2} demonstrates what the item of clothing itself looks like…
Aaaarrrrgh!
: laugh :
I mean, I learned that already when I was trying to show you my pink sweater the other day.
But still.
ARGH
Anywhoo…
I tried.
And this was the result:
Which…
Yeah, okay. The painting in the background (it’s actually really pretty) sort of acts as a distractor, right? And then there is my stack of CDs on the bottom right.
Le sigh.
We’ll just sort out a new location, shall we?
Annnd…
Again:
Somehow I don’t think that’s much better.
: laugh :
A fashion model, I am not.
But anyway… Hopefully you kind of get the gist.
And here are the sleeves:
Cute, yes?
*grin*
I was concerned about the neck because it’s a bit snug (those of you who enjoy the feel of a collar would probably think nothing of it, but I’m not that type), but I wore this sweater on the day I got my taxes done — and if there is anything that’s going to make me feel choked it’s finding out how little I made and how much owe the IRS as a result — and it wasn’t too bad. If I was to order it again, I might go up a size if I thought it would have a wider neck opening. Would it, though? I dunno.
Anywhoo…
It’s reasonably comfortable, and it’s a good mix of ‘plain’ and ‘pretty’.
I think I’ll keep it. 🙂

That sweater is awesome. I like it more than the pink one, now that I can see the sleeves. I love balloon / drop shoulder sleeves. When its BOTH in one item of clothing, that’s a win. Oh in black. Yes yes and yes. and embellishment on said balloon sleeves. It’s almost too good to be true.
And if i got ALL that from your pics, then your sweater poses are fine IMO. But if you want, here are some poses to try out in the future –

Yes, those are definitely fab sweater poses!
I like the balloon sleeves too. (I’ve also seen a similar sleeve labeled ‘lantern sleeves’. Not sure what the difference is??) It’s a win!
“A lantern sleeve is a long sleeve that balloons out between the wrist and the elbow and then gathers again around the wrist. Balloon sleeves. Balloon sleeves are long, puffed sleeves that are gathered at the shoulder and then puffed out and gather back at the wrist.”

(I was curious too… i think it’s the LOCATION of the puffy puffy bit)
Sweater = cute as heck
The sleeves make it worth tugging at the neckline.
It wasn’t too-too bad at the neck. Having gone decades now without donning anything resembling a turtleneck, it was more alien feeling than anything. I think perhaps I will just wear it in short bursts until I adjust. Because, TOO CUTE.
It looks really great and I love that embroidery on the sleeves!

I think your pics show the sweater nicely.
