Blanket

blanket of white snow over evergreens

draped
heavy and wet,
weighted soft over
textured nettle,
soothing cool over
stalwart rough,
white blankets green

so too we lay
still,
cocooned in the quiet
un-warm blue

until

heat returns
and

thawed

I melt, soaking
into
you

…wait…
